- Recording voices clearly, on location + interior setting
- Holding a shot steady
- Framing a shot
- Using a variety of shot distances
- Shooting material appropriately to the task set
- Selecting appropriate mise on scene
- Editing so the meaning is appropriate to the task set
- Using titles appropriately
- Using sound with images
- Using varied shot transitions
